ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Competencies ACES Int'l is a nonprofit certification and testing Association offering the most advanced methods of training and certification available in the world today. The ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Competencies are the most complete and up-to-date professional skills sets that those entering into professions as Utility Locator Technicians could possess in order to prove competency in that field. The Certification process under the ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program takes 40 total hours (combined theory and "hands on" skills testing under the supervision of an ACES Int'l Certification Administrator) and includes Industry Standards, The Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Best Practices (current version), Federal, State/Provincial, Local Laws, OSHA Safety references, Regulations and Codes. The Certification Program is totally transferable to all In-House Training Programs and provides an independent, third-party test scoring and credentials issuing component that ensures it meets the requirements of a true, valid and reliable Industry Certification Program. ACES Int'l has developed this state-of-the-art Program to better define the training program and qualifications required for those entering into the Utility Locating profession. Usage Limitations Referencing and Adoption: ACES Int'l encourages all Federal, State/Provincial and local regulatory agencies and other concerned parties to reference the following Competency Requirements for Certified Utility Locator Technician Certification into such laws, regulations, ordinances, executive or administrative orders or decrees or other binding instruments for the purpose of establishing minimum requirements for Utility Locator Training and Certification Standards. All or any changes, additions or deletions to these Competency Requirements for the ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program made by the referencing, adopting agency or authority must be documented and noted separately. Any referencing, adopting agency or authority making such changes, additions or deletions to the following copyrighted document must notify ACES Int'l in advance and in writing prior to any such use.
