Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program

 

The ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Programcsep.jpg (34284 bytes) was developed to provide the Excavation Industry with a method to verify and document that an Excavator has complied with and has received the proper training and instruction in all applicable Federal, State/Provincial and Local excavation safety regulations, laws, safe excavation practices, underground facility damage-avoidance practices, facility damage reporting procedures, Industry Standards for safe excavation of existing underground facilities and Industry Best Practices.  The ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Certification Program meets Industry, Federal, State/Provincial and Local training requirements for training in the safe excavation of existing facilities and meets all applicable training requirements for the protection of underground facilities by Excavators in accordance with Industry Best Practices Guidelines.  Successful completion of this program  provides an Industry-recognized ONE YEAR Certification as a Safe Excavation Practitioner™ and earns the recipient an ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Official Wall Certificate and Wallet Card credentials set.    

 

The Industry's Finest 'Digsafe' Training & Testing Program

Current Industry Best Practices Guidelines (7-3) clearly defines "A penalty system" (which) "includes education as an alternative or supplement to civil or other penalties."  The ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program can provide excavators with the documentation and credentials needed to meet this important alternative to Federal, State/Provincial and Local civil fines and/or penalties and helps to mitigate dispute resolutions.  The best remedies for safety issues and damage avoidance is proper training coupled with a structured documentation and credentialing program.  The ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program ensures that mandatory 'Digsafe' Training Programs adequately cover and include current Industry Standards and current Industry Best Practices Guidelines which have been proven through experience to reduce the risks of future damage to underground facilities.  The Association of Communications & Electronics Schools International (ACES Int'l) is an international non profit, certification and testing organization dedicated to providing the world's finest training, finest certification programs and finest methods of certification available.  In developing the ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program, certain key program elements were incorporated to ensure Industry-wide acceptance and an Industry-wide delivery system is provided.  These key elements include:

 

How to Register For Training & Testing            

Registration for the ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program is easy!  Simply call the nation-wide toll free number (800) 798-2237 and you will be given contact information of the nearest Certification Program Administrator for the ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program.  A Certification is a professional, industry-recognized credential that belongs to you personally as a testament to your skills as a Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™.  Unlike individual State licenses, an ACES Int'l Certification is valid in ALL 50 States as well as being an internationally-recognized professional credential.  As long as you can demonstrate your knowledge and skills through testing and training required for your profession, your Certification cannot be taken away from you until expiration.  An ACES Int'l Certification is an independent, third-party testament to your knowledge and skills as a Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™.  In most cases, professional Certification Fees may be tax deductible.

Program Prerequisites

  1. Examinees must have completed all Safe Excavation Practitioner training course requirements prior to attempting the 50 Question closed book multiple-choice written examination to earn ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Certification.

  2. Examinees must pass the 50 Question closed book multiple-choice written examination by a score of 75% or higher (12 wrong or less) to earn ACES Int'l Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Certification.
